Start from seed or transplant carefully - the taproot does not like disturbance.

Settle in a sunny spot for a day before transplanting. Plant in well-drained soil after your last frost date, burying only to the same depth it was growing in the pot. Water during establishment, then reduce frequency. This is a long-term investment plant - the root deepens and improves with each passing year.
