St. John's Wort Plant Hypericum perforatum St. John's Wort is a perennial that is native to Europe. Its bright yellow flowers are usually harvested in late summer. St. John’s wort has a long history of use in traditional Western herbal practices. Typical preparations include steeping as tea, oil infusion, and extract. Perennial Zones 5 to 10 with some shade needed in hotter climates. We are in Zone 6 and it loves the full sun. We don't ship plants past Tuesday so they don't sit over the weekend in the mail.
